Answer:A good earth should be free from all the harmful ingredients such excessive quantity of lime in lumps,iron pyrites which causes the brick split into pieces, pebbles and grit etc. which make the bricks weak, porous and liable to crack, kallar which prevents the bricks being properly burn. alkalies if present in large quantity cause the brick to fuse,twist and warp and lastly use of salty water should  be avoided.
