The 5.14km long Jaypee International Race Circuit has been designed by renowned German architect and racetrack designer, Herman Tilke, who has also designed other world class race circuits in Malaysia, Bahrain, China, Turkey, Indonesia, the UAE, South Africa, South Korea and the US.

A flying lap of the Jaypee International Race Circuit

Pull out of your pit garage and turn right. This is a clockwise circuit and the pit exit is approximately 100 meters before the sharp right turn 1.
The elevation changes swiftly as you climb through the long sweeping turn 2, climbing continuously. By the time you get to the braking point for turn 3, you’ve climbed 14 meters. The apex is blind but the track and run off areas wide enough to recover any mistakes. Exiting turn 3, you’ll be at the start of the longest straight on the track, just over 1km. The track elevation drops down to about 3 meters at the halfway point before rising back to around 12 meters at turn 4. The F1 cars will be braking from 318kph, 50 meters from the corner. Spectacular!

From turn 4 you’ll drop back down again to 2 meters before rapidly approaching turn 5, a smooth, fast left hander which will help you carry speed through the sweeping bends of turns 6 to 9.

For many, turns 10 and 11 would be their favourite on the track – this long double apex corner with 13,000 seats around the outside will be amazing. The track is elevated and banked slightly, and the F1 cars will be travelling at over 200kph. A great place to be for the spectators, who’ll be able to see the
cars from Turn 5 until they disappear from site at Turn 15.

From Turn 11 the track drops back down into the sweeping left-right of turns 13 and 14 before rising sharply again to 12 meters for Turn 15. The track then drops sharply for the final turn on to the start/finish straight.
You’ve now completed a flying lap of the new track and, if you are a good driver in an F1 car, you should have recorded a lap time of around 1m 27 secs!
